Our ancestors didn't have instant badam drink powders during their times, back then they ground badam with jaggery and cardamom to make a delicious drink! It is rich, favourful and absolutely healthy! Tastes great as-is or when served chilled. It is creamy and sure to delight your taste buds. And the best part gives you all the nutrients and energizes you for a whole day, also energizes you after a tiring day.
This a traditional summer drink, called as badama doodh in Konkani, prepared by soaking almonds. It contains only 3 ingredients and is easy to prepare. An easy, quick, healthy alternative to store bought, preservatives rich juices.
Ingredients:

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Preparation Method:
1. Soak almonds overnight or soak them for a minimum of 4 hours.
2. Grind the soaked almonds with jaggery, cardamom into a smooth paste. Adjust the amount of jaggery you add according to your taste.
3. Add about 1-2 cups of water to the ground paste and mix well. Dilute the juice according to your taste.
4. Garnish it with chopped almonds/saffron if you wish. Serve it as-is or chilled and enjoy.
