Beetroot Carrot Tomato Juice (Beauty and detox drink)

Beetroot Carrot Tomato Juice (Beauty and detox drink)

The cleanse and detox drink that'll flush out toxins:

Stress, oily foods, greasy foods, smoke, air pollution give rise to free radicals in our body. These free radicals cause cell damage and bring about aging in us.

Antioxidants which are present in a lot of fruits and veggies capture these free radicals in our body and protect our cells and blood vessels from the damage caused by these free radicals. Thus, antioxidants are great for our skin and are anti-aging.

Antioxidants are present in colourful fruits and veggies like tomatoes, beetroots, carrots, red, green, yellow bell peppers, papaya, broccoli, spinach, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi, dark chocolate, green tea etc.

Carrots, beetroots and tomatoes are rich in antioxidants and thus free our body from toxins, free radicals and purifies our blood. They help detox and cleanse our body internally.

Drink one glass of carrot, beetroot and tomato juice everyday and you'll have a healthy glowing skin and a healthy body too. Mint coriander juice and beetroot, carrot, tomato juice also help in weight loss and help curb constipation.

The following recipe is a great beauty and detox juice that helps in natural detoxification.

Ingredients for this detox juice:

  • 1/2 medium sized beetroot
  • 1 medium sized carrots
  • 1 medium sized tomato
  • Rock salt to taste
  • Lemon juice to taste
  • 2 cups of drinking water
  • Blender/juicer

Serves: 1

Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Preparation Method:

1. Peel and roughly chop the beetroot, carrots and the tomatoes and blend them in a blender using 1 cup of water or use a juicer.

2. Grind them into a fine paste, add more water if required while blending. Bring the juice to your desired consistency by adding more water if required.

3. Add lemon juice, rock salt and mix well.

4. Drink the juice without straining or you'll lose all the good fibres.

Most important:

Drink the juice within 15 minutes of preparation or else the juice gets oxidised and you'll loose all the goodness of the juice.

Important: This detox juice should be had on an empty stomach in the morning and after having the juice do not eat anything for the next half an hour.

Equipment suggestion:

The best juicer in the market and my favourite equipment in the kitchen is this juicer. It can help you make wonders while cooking. With it you can get a juice ready in 30 seconds, you can powder even a teaspoon of spices with it and you can also store them all with a lid on in the fridge or outside. This mixer is an absolute delight to own and use in the kitchen. I've had it for 5 years now! This juicer also makes sure you don't lose out on any of the fibres.

If you hate chopping and can shell out some money then this chic juicer is perfect for you.

Extra Info:

  • Rock salt has more minerals than normal salt, hence rock salt is used.
  • Lemon juice adds in taste and Vitamin C. Lemon also prevents the discolouration of the juice, it helps retain the original colour of the juice.
  • Use only upto 1/2 a beetroot if your just starting on this detox juice. People who are not used to eating beetroot may have loose motion if you consume more beetroot. You can gradually increase the amount of beetroot you use.
  • Toxins are poisonous substances that you ingest or inhale.
  • Detoxification is removal of toxins/toxic substances from our body.

Long term detox practise:

Use only organically grown veggies in your detox juice. Organic veggies are grown without chemical fertilizers and synthetic insecticides. If your not using organic veggies in your detox juice you may be adding more chemicals, toxins to your body rather than getting toxins out of your system.

Drinking enough water helps detox: Drink 1 litre of luke warm water every morning on an empty stomach. Water helps our kidneys flush out the body's toxins.

Exercising helps in detox: Exercising also helps flush out toxins from our body through sweat.
